A US neuroscientist will be visiting the country’s first Maharishi Peace Palace, based in Suffolk, to discuss his research into different kinds of meditation this Thursday, March 30.
Dr Fred Travis’ seminar takes place at the Maharishi Peace Palace, in Rendlesham, from 10.30am-12.45pm.
He will ask: ‘Are all meditations the same, and what is the effect of meditation on the brain?’
Dr Travis will compare the brainwaves produced by Transcendental Meditation with other meditation techniques, including mindfulness meditation, and promises to demonstrate his findings with a volunteer meditator during the seminar. There will also be time for questions.
The Peace Palace, which opened in Rendlesham’s Garden Village last October, is one of the largest Vedic architecture settlements of its kind in the world.
