The spiritual exercises for Lent in which annually take part in the Pope Francis and the vatican Curia will be held from 5 to 10 march at the Divine Master of the town of Ariccia and will be led by the franciscan priest P. Giulio Michelini.

According to the Vatican newspaper, L’osservatore Romano, the retreat will have as its theme “Passion, death and resurrection of Jesus according to Matthew”.
For the Sunday, march 5, when they begin the spiritual exercises, is expected to eucharistic adoration and vespers at 6:00 p. m.
The other days will begin with Mass at 7:30.m. followed by a meditation at 9:30.m. Then at 4:00 p. m. it will be the second meditation that will precede the eucharistic adoration and vespers.
On the final day, Friday, march 10, there will only be a meditation.
The P. Michelini made his solemn profession in the order of friars minor (franciscans) in 1992 and was ordained a priest in 1994.
He studied language and literature foreign in the University of studies of Perugia, where he did a thesis in germanic philology on the translation into gothic of the Gospel of Matthew.
He obtained the baccalaureate in theology at the theological Institute of Assisi and the bachelor’s degree and a doctorate in biblical theology at the Pontifical Gregorian University, and in Jerusalem he studied at the Bat Kol Institute.
He is currently teaching in the theological Institute of Assisi, added at the Pontifical Lateran University and director of the magazine “Convivium Assisiense”.
He is the author of several publications and lives in the convent of Farneto. It is also animator of the center deacons of the Archdiocese of Perugia.
