Santo Domingo.- With the firm purpose to contribute to the development of the entrepreneurial spirit of the young, the Center’s Management GOAL presents the First Tournament “The Plan, The Adventure to Undertake. An innovative proposal to generate spaces of learning focused on entrepreneurship, using the methodology of “Learning by Playing”.
Rosario Arostegui, president of the Center’s Management Goal and the coordinator of the Tournament, indicated that The Plan is an educational tool created by the chilean company Time Zero to foster the skills for making decisions, see opportunities, creativity, strategy, motivation, achievement, initiative, planning and organization, designed for students of middle school from the age of 12.
To participate in the Tournament Plan, the educational institutions can implement in your school program concepts of entrepreneurship, to enable their students to develop skills such as: creativity to reinvent yourself and be flexible to changing scenarios. Take responsibility for decision making; development of strategy for obtaining results; good practices for the development of themselves and their environment; identification of new opportunities and the ability to take risks.
Ignacio Méndez Fernández, Deputy minister for the Promotion of Micro, Small and Medium enterprises, Ministry of Industry and Trade and Msmes, by directing the attendees, noted that this Ministry has included entrepreneurship as part of its mission, and, even more, from the adoption of the LAW on ENTREPRENEURSHIP. The support for the Tournament, The Plan is framed within the objectives of the development of an entrepreneurial culture in the country and the entrepreneurial spirit of students, to achieve a complete entrepreneurship ecosystem to flood the Dominican Republic.
During the launch event held in FineArts at Novo-Center, was presented the testimony of the managers of the schools that have already received The Plan as a learning experience, and who highlighted the results and progress attained by the students of their institutions to participate in the experience of education.
Alci Cruz, Director of the Educational Community Conexus, Maritza Florentino, director of the college of Triumphare and Michelle Quiñones, Middle and High School Main St. Patrick School, agreed to testify that Rosario Aróstegui with the game Plan, has managed to awaken in young students the enthusiasm for learning concepts, as well as, develop the skills to take decisions, assume risks and liability for results.
In addition to the Dominican Republic, The Plan, the adventure of take it has been played with success in: Colombia, Chile, Ecuador, El Salvador, Spain, Honduras, Peru, Uruguay, Bolivia, and Guatemala.
The first version of the Tournament, The Plan in the Dominican Republic will be held in the period August-November of the current year, where the school winner of the category qualifier and will represent the Dominican Republic in the Olympiad International to be held in Chile in the month of November 2017.The Tournament has the support of the program to Create Banreservas, the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Msmes, the Foundation Tropigas and Paintings Tropical.
