Bands like Stryper, Petra and Hillsong are just a few of the groups have dedicated their music to God. There are believers who tend to listen to them -often – during these days, by feel that invites you to the reflection and meditation.
These are some of them:
1. “Calling On You” (Stryper)
Subject matter included in the successful album “To Hell with the Devil” (1986). A song that combines strength and melody, with a chorus of easy remembrance and impeccable execution, the best style of Stryper.
2. “Desert Rose” (White Heart)
Ballad of White Heart, the hard rock band that leads Rick Florian (vocals) and returned to the activity in 2013, then about 15 years of silence.
3. “Beyond Belief” (Petra)
In 1990, the band Petra, one of the largest tour and impact in the world of christian rock, released the album “Beyond Belief ‘ and reached probably his peak of success.
4. “Secret Ambition” (Michael W. Smith)
Michael W. Smith is one of the soloists more successful in the world of pop and christian rock. His long career is full of moments of excellence. Like this theme, originally included on the album “I 2 (Eye)”, 1986.
5. “Awesome God” (Rich Mullins)
Almost an anthem of contemporary christian music. Its author and performer, Rich Mullins, unfortunately passed away in 1997, in an automobile accident. Had only 41 years of age.
6. “El Shaddai” (Amy Grant)
Probably the singer christian that went through with further determination of the barrier theme of spiritual music to pin in the mainstream (she even came to record a duet with Peter Cetera, of the band Chicago).
7. “Save Me from Myself” (Brian ‘Head’ Welch)
The guitarist of Korn hit the bottom. Fell in honduras more pronounced than one can imagine, as a result of his addiction to drugs. Happily, he was rescued and he is so grateful to jesus Christ.
8. “Dare You to Move” (Switchfoot)
Band alternative that has been in operation since 1996. In this song, included in the album “The Beautiful Letdown” (2003), Switchfoot launches a proclaimed existential.
9. “You” (Hillsong)
More than a band, Hillsong is a huge ministry in Australia. And the band is a detachment from the matrix church in the country of the kangaroos.
