The non-profit group Yes! For Schools will host a panel discussion on harnessing meditation, breathing and leadership skills to improve school climate and student health from 10 a.m. to noon March 10 at Quinlan Community Center, 10185 N. Stelling Road, Cupertino.
“Making Stress-Free, Violence-Free Schools” is free and open to the public, but registration is requested online at http://tinyurl.com/YESsfvf. The event includes a demonstration of techniques and a light lunch.
Panelists include Denise Herrmann, principal of Gunn High in Palo Alto; Vito Chiala, principal of Overfelt High in San Jose; Le Tran, principal of Horace Cureton Elementary in San Jose; and Sheri Mulroe, PE teacher at Palo Alto High. Bill Herman, international director of YES! for Schools, will moderate.
