“Rosario Young” attracts hundreds of the faithful to meditation on the faith in Londrina, Brazil
Londrina – Paraná (Thursday, 02-03-2017, Gaudium Press) The youth paranaense met in prayer during the recitation of the “Rosary Young”, in the Parish of Our Lady, Help of christians. The event, intended to host young people from various parishes and groups of the Archdiocese of Londrina, had the support of the Holy Popular Missions Young.
On the occasion, the meeting was inspired by the sorrowful mysteries, being the reflections towards the concrete situations of life.
The difficulty in the following of Jesus, as well as the lack of attitudes that bear witness to be a christian and the Son of God as the only Lord, were some of the issues discerned by the youth during the meeting.
After the rosary, the participants had the opportunity to do a moment of meditation and faith in Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament.
“The meditations help to guide the interpretation of each mystery. It might bring to our reality. As they are young-they do, we focus on our problems,” said Daniel Borges, one of the young people present at the event, the website of the Archdiocese of Londrina.
In turn, the young Rafaela Matavelli recalled that the prayer of the rosary makes it return to important matters that form part of the follow-up to Christ. “The meditations of the sorrowful mysteries, that they made led me to reflect on that great love of Jesus, the reason why He went through all that.”
The first edition of the “Rosary Young” in 2017, with headquarters at the Parish of Our Lady, Help of christians, has become even more special by the fact that in this year, the Church in Brazil celebrates the 300 years of the encounter of the Image of Our Lady of Aparecida, Patroness of Brazil, in the waters of the river Paraíba of the South. Before, the event was promoted in the Chapel of the Mother of God.
The coordinator of the initiative, José Guilherme Gaìno Mafra, asserted that the first meeting of the year helped to give encouragement to the work. “We were very happy to see the church full, even though we have changed space, which is now a little further away. God was with the people, and it was wonderful,” he said. (LMI)
