Meditation Friday march 3 | Omnia – Omnia

In the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

Christ, our King. Thy Kingdom come!

Introductory prayer (for me in the presence of God)

My god, you have all my love. If I steer clear of It, do not forget my wish. Ever want to consciously stray away from It. If I depart from Thee, do not forget my wish. Úneme to You, and teach me to live near You.

Gospel of the day (to guide your meditation)

From the holy Gospel according to st. Matthew 9,14-15

At that time, the disciples of John came to Jesus and asked him: “why your disciples do not fast, while we and the pharisees if we fast?”. Jesus answered them: “How can you wear mourning the friends of the husband, while he is with them? But already, the days are coming in which they will be removed of the husband, and then if they will fast”.

The word of the Lord.

Meditate on what God says in the Gospel.

So rich is the love.

If I ever ask why the chapels, why temples, why the churches are so majestic, with frank simplicity he would answer: “because they are the house of our God.”

There is No moment more beautiful than that to celebrate as the people of God at Holy Mass, where you are present, Lord, and visit our heart through the window of faith. Really present, really there in front of me, and then I say “amen”, “believe”, “I want to meet you”, “I love you”, my only desire”.

More beautiful than a creature speaking to his creator, does not exist any thing. Like the noble love which carries the groom to the bride to dedicate a song, where there is no gesture that is not worth to express affection. So, Lord, we sing in the mass, our hearts, you sing whenever you are in front of You.

How my heart sings to you as well?, what would have happened, if you don’t enjoy singing to their creator?, what would have happened, if you are concerned about the time? So rich is the love, that seems to buy all the time to always love.

So, if the disciples would have to fast, they would have to do it to those worthy days of dust a missionary for the streets, but not while they are on their own with their God. Not while the bridegroom is with them.

“Nothing to do with those that smell of expensive perfume and looking at you from far away and from above (cf. ibid., 97). We are the friends of the Bridegroom, that is our joy. If Jesus is pastoring in the midst of us, we cannot be pastors with a vinegar face, growling or, worse, bored shepherds. Smell of sheep and smile of parents… Yes, well tired, but with the joy of those who hear his Lord say: “Come unto me, ye blessed of my Father.”

(Homily of S. S. Francis, April 2, 2015).

Dialogue with Christ

This is the most important part of your prayer, be prepared to talk with a lot of love with the One who loves you.

Make it a personal one. The more love involved in response to the Beloved… or, if you think that is what God asks of you, live what you suggested below.

Lord, I promise that I’m going to put the necessary means to remember, in the next mass, to sing with fervor. In the simple acts transforms the heart.

We thank you, Lord, for all your benefits, You who live and reign for ever and ever.
