In collaboration with the application Mind | Friday, 30 June 2017
Children and adults can discover various options to relax during long-distance flights with the program available on their individual screens.
Air France launched its new meditation program on board through the application of Mind for their long-distance flights. Since June, young people and adults can discover the benefits of meditation through sessions guided unpublished (available in Spanish, French, English and Portuguese) in the new section “Meditation” of the individual screens of the planes of Air France:
· Six sessions for children, inspired by the book Quiet and attentive like a frog, Eline Snel, from the publisher Les Arènes, with chapters such as “The frog flying” or “The superpowers of the respiration”;
· Six sessions for adults from the best-seller to Meditate day-to-day, Christophe André, of the editorial L Iconoclaste, with chapters such as “Travel with your mind” or “Fly with serenity”.
Each program, consisting of an audio track and a video, offers a unique content to familiarize yourself with the concept of mindfulness (mindfulness) and feeling in harmony with an environment as unique as the universe air. A simple way to reconnect with one’s self: just sit back and close your eyes.
Unreleased sessions created for plane travel by Christophe André
“The plane trip is a good opportunity to invest time in yourself. Time to rest, read, reflect, watch a movie and, why not, time for meditating… The meditation exercises that we propose here, many of which have been specially designed for Air France, is based on a simple method and lay, validated by scientific studies,”— said Christophe Andre, author of Meditating day-to-day.
With the goal of demonstrating how meditation can help people who suffer from fear of flying, Christophe André has worked in partnership with the center for anti-stress of Air France, which offers support to passengers from 10 years ago.
Relaxation and well-being for all
After a first test flight, 90 % of the customers onboard were relaxed, and 85 % stated that the experience improved their comfort. In this way, Air France offers with its new service even more well-being and relaxation to all their passengers: children and families, in trips of leisure or of work.
Mind is a mobile application that proposes programs of initiation to the meditation of mindfulness. With more than 200 sessions tailored to the daily life and designed by leading experts in meditation, Mind is today, the application of reference in France.
From over ten years ago, publishers L Iconoclaste and Les Arènes publish books of the best doctors and teachers in the field of meditation: Jon Kabat-Zinn (researcher in the field of medicine and are responsible for the secularization and scientific validation of meditation known as mindfulness, or “mindfulness”), Christophe André (author of Meditating day-to-day, which has sold over 2.5 million copies around the world) or Eline Snel (author of the Quiet and attentive like a frog, the first book of meditation for children).
